Komori announced today that press shipments resumed just days after the earthquake and tsunami to locations all around the world. That is great news! It seems that even though Japan continues to quake with nearly daily aftershocks, life—and business—go on. I cannot imagine what that must be like and we continue to hold Japan in our thoughts and prayers as the people get back to life in the “new normal”.

What has always set Komori apart is its people, and it has never been more evident than with our factory workers and field technicians in Japan who have continued to work tirelessly to get product to our customers and get our customers in Japan up and running. Komori has also reached out to its suppliers located in the areas most affected to help them get back to 100% production. We plan to be totally back to normal operation and shipments by the end of May—pretty remarkable when you think about it.

We want to thank everyone who has been so supportive during this difficult time, especially our customers. Your kind thoughts and words are most appreciated. Attached are a few photos taken last week in our Tsukuba factory—as you can see we’re hard at work!
